At Gloria's Shambhala in beautiful Zipolite,Oaxaca,Mexico,there is space and good
will for any genuine spiritual self-awareness group to establish a long term presence . In Shambhala living
is not expensive,and most visitors arrive here "looking" for something.
We are offering for lease (w/options)for
spiritual inner growth workshops; massage therapy, yoga, meditation, ceramics, painters, or any field which
feeds the soul --or anyone wishing to run a vegetarian restaurant.
If you think we
may have some common spiritual ground to work with,
and if you would like to open this door to another
adventure in living,
visit us. At this time our facility includes rustic private rooms,
dormitories,
meditaion areas & a complete restaurant , all
which may be expanded to accommodate your specific
needs.
We would like to attract visitors which may have started an Ashram, Wat, or other spiritual
community. Perhaps one who is looking to fill a space in their life with spiritual inner-growth in this
pristine natural environment.

My sister is the owner of Shambhala and I have been sort of in the shadows of her business for over 25 years.
Originally I helped my sister Gloria build Shambhala along with friends and workers over 35 years ago. It is amazing Shambhala
continues to be an anchor for seekers of truth. We turned from a simple restaurant called, "Arco de Noe" to a bohemian retreat
and hostel called "Shambhala". I'm coming into the limelight via the internet to promote the new Shambhala Vision as an alternative
health spa, spiritual retreat and artist colony. Yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, massage, Arica & Ishaya work have been ongoing
at Shambhala, but we have always been written up a an "funky" place to hang out. My sister and I are changing the image of
Shambhala and will be going through some management changes. In fact we are looking for a bilingual manager with hotel management
experience. We are calling upon holistic teachers, massage/ bodyworkers and artists to come to Shambhala and interact with
seekers and students of truth, light and love. We love our Ce-Pul-Ihtoa, "place of great vision" dearly and want to save it
from becoming another typical Mexican hotel. We are in a wonderful power spot, nestled between Playa Cameron (our natural
spa) at the far West end of Zipolite beach, next to our famous "hole in the rock". Remember the vision.

I stayed at Shambhala on two occasions back in 1995 - I have stumbled upon your website
whilst playing about with the web. It is so wonderful to find your website and to be able to see the familiar pictures
- the place has hardly changed. Your website has done an excellent job in representing it as it really is!
It has evoked some wonderful memories and a great yearning to return again.
Well done for keeping it real ! Hope to visit again in the near
future.
